History
Meliá Yangon opened in 2016 on Kaba Aye Pagoda Road, on a site overlooking Inya Lake — a reservoir created in the 1880s that became Yangon's most prestigious residential address. Spain's Meliá Hotels International entered Myanmar as foreign investment surged, building a large contemporary tower in the embassy district.
